turcot 375,
Turcot 375 was an alternative proposal to the turcot interchange reconstruction led by Pierre Gauthier, associate professor, Concordia University. This poster was made for presentation to the media and local politicians, including CBC, the Montreal Gazette, as well as many prominent local politicians.
studio primer
This large format poster measuring 24” x 42” was designed as a favour for the final year-long design studio class. The subject site for the entire year was the Turcot Yards, an abandoned shipping and rail yard where highways and rail lines criss-cross through a massive terrain vague. The provincially owned site was off-limits to the public and was patrolled by security staff. To combat this lack of access, fearing a limited ability in my own and other’s capacity to relate to the site, I broke in on a September afternoon and photographed the space extensively. Days later I produced this poster which was displayed in the studio all year. The impetus to create this, aside from the uncanny beauty of the site, was the writings of Keller Easterling, Alan Berger, and Manuel de Sola-Morales, who are each quoted in the text on the top.

Concordia Open House
This poster was created for the Faculty of Geography, Planning, and Environment for the University’s open house event. After, the poster was put on permanent display in a prominent position within the faculty’s space.
